Quinten Wiergesma (London, ON)

Quinten is a birder living in Ontario who got his start in birding at age 11 when he discovered eBird. After seeing how cool the website was, he was determined to find as many species as possible, and there was no turning back. He has since expanded his interests to include dragonflies, damselflies, butterflies, and plants. In 2016, the London Free Press named him the top London-area young birder of the year. He is a member of the Ontario Field Ornithologists and Nature London. His favourite places to explore are Point Pelee, Rondeau, Algonquin Park, and the Bruce.

Ethan Denton (Canmore, AB)

Avid birder and amateur photographer, Ethan Denton hails from Canmore, Alberta. Passionate about birds from age five, he now writes three blogs, organizes two Christmas Bird Counts and is a regular name in birding events across Southern Alberta. His home patch is his favourite, with over 120 species seen on the Canmore Boardwalk alone. You can find Ethan at Birds Calgary, Bird Boy and numerous birding Facebook groups. Having travelled to Europe, Colorado and across Canada, Ethan’s list of birds and experiences is long, and ever growing with more trips planned.

Dennis Dirigal (Mississauga, ON)

Dennis Dirigal is a Mississauga native birder with a big passion for birds ever since a trip to Disneyland in Florida. Although he is the only birder in his family he still manages to bird in the Western lake Ontario areas and is always up to find new birds anywhere.
